Both John Francis Dodge and Horace Elgin Dodge, founders of the Dodge automobile company, were known for their somewhat unruly behavior in Detroit’s saloons. If they were alive today, they’d probably act just as crude – and the automaker isn’t embarrassed about this fact.
Dodge is actually quite proud of their founders’ reputation as partyers, it seems. In a recent commercial promoting its Challenger and Charger models, the brothers are brought back to life and seen walking into a modern day showroom looking rather pleased with themselves and what they’ve created.
The brothers then proceed to take a Charger and Challenger out into the parking lot and serve up a couple of smoky donuts – staying true to their reputation. It’s a humorous take on Dodge’s past, and likely a good indication of what many of its customers love to do in their HEMI-powered muscle cars.
