Towing is a big deal among truck buyers. The Big Three are in a constant battle over towing capacity ratings, but Ram decided to put their money where their mouth is with their ‘Heavy Hauler’ program.
The Heavy Hauler program lets Ram demonstrate the towing capabilities of its 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks, along with the Ram chassis cab commercial vehicle and Pro Master and Pro Master city vans.
The Ram vehicle with the largest towing capacity, the 3500 Dually Tradesman diesel, can tow an incredible 31,200 lbs. Your standard 1500 Tradesman can tow a still-impressive 10,850, while the 2500 appropriately falls right in the middle at 18,000 lbs.
Enough talk about towing capacities, though. Watch the Ram lineup go tow-crazy in the video above as Ram Heavy Duty chief engineer Troy Davis and other company insiders tell you all about their vehicles.
