The Texas Auto Writers Association has awarded several Ram, Dodge and Jeep products following two days of testing at their annual Texas Truck Rodeo. The Fiat-Chrysler brands were given eight of the 24 available awards – the most of any manufacturer that participated in the large-scale truck test.
A total of 88 pickups, SUVs, crossovers and commercial vehicles were entered in the competition, which was judged by 69 different TAWA members. The most successful brand was Jeep, walking away with four awards, while Ram earned two and Dodge earned one.
“The Truck Rodeo was extremely competitive this year with a record number of media and vehicle entries, so it’s impressive that the FCA brands received top awards in numerous categories,” Michael Marrs, TAWA president, said in a statement. “The Jeep brand SUVs continue to be favorites among TAWA voters, as every Jeep SUV won its category again this year. In addition, the Ram and Dodge brands also reclaimed titles.”
