The 2016 Lancia Ypsilon has broke cover, bringing with it subtle styling revisions and an updated line of Euro 6 compliant diesel and gasoline engines.
The most obvious changes to the Ypsilon have happened out front, with a smaller grille and revised front bumper. There’s also two new exterior colors available, ‘Ivory Chic’ and ‘Blu di Blu’, which join the existing Silver, Gold and Platinum shades.
Inside the updates consist of new available upholstery for the seats, a different instrument panel and a restyle gear selector knob. The center stack is also all new and looks more upscale than in model’s prior. Top-of-the-line models receive Fiat-Chrysler’s UconnectTM infotainment system along with a 5-inch touch screen, and steering wheel controls and voice command.
Both updated gasoline and diesel engines are on offer. The gasoline units consist of a 70 horsepower 1.2-liter with a manual transmission or an 86 horsepower TwinAir turbocharged 0.9-liter unit with an automatic. The diesels are made up of a 96 horsepower 1.3-liter MultiJet II and a 70 horsepower 1.2-liter. If you’re looking for further economy, the 1.2-liter and 0.9-liter gasoline engines are available in a CNG flex fuel configuration.
